Where has spending gone up or down?
In the diagram below, each chapter of the national budget is shown in a different colour. Each circle represents one component, or article, of the budget in question. The size of the circle illustrates how much of the budget goes to the article concerned; the larger the circle, the larger the share of the budget. If you hover your cursor over a circle, a description appears.
At the top right of the diagram are two buttons: ‘Budget chapter’ and ‘Amount’. By clicking these buttons, the circles can be grouped by budget chapter or according to the value (in euros) of the budget articles. Clicking the names of the ministries above the diagram changes the selection displayed.
